OUR STORAGE SOLUTIONS FRANCHISE STARTED IN A GARAGE AND GREW TO A MULTI-NATIONAL BRAND

Our Atlanta-based storage solutions franchise has locations across the U.S. and Canada that strive to improve the lives of our clients by providing customized shelving solutions that puts everything within reach.

ShelfGenie was started as a custom shelving solutions company by a college dropout with entrepreneurial passion who was looking for the perfect idea. In 2000, the founder installed custom glide-in, glide-out shelving in the kitchen cabinets for his parents and their neighbors and saw how excited they were, the lightbulb went off.

He had the vision for a national franchise and beyond. This is how the ShelfGenie story began, and the franchise was officially launched in 2007.

ShelfGenie’s Brand President, Andy Pittman, started as a franchise owner in 2009. He  believes that being a franchise owner makes him a better President. He also believes that being “part of a bigger cast of people helps our franchise owners become successful.”

JOINING THE NEIGHBORLY FAMILY

In October 2020, ShelfGenie was acquired by Neighborly®, the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands. “The acquisition of ShelfGenie furthers our strategy to Own the Home™ through Neighborly’s home services,” said Mike Bidwell, president and CEO of Neighborly. “ShelfGenie’s high-quality service offerings and proven commitment to customer service makes it an excellent complement to our existing portfolio, providing an ideal opportunity for continued growth of the ShelfGenie franchise network and the Neighborly organization at-large.”

We have more than 270 locations throughout the United States and Canada, and we have developed a successful business model that allows ShelfGenie franchise owners to focus solely on growing their business.

Our active 3rd party call centers take much of the day-to-day administrative responsibility off the shoulders of the franchise owner, acting as the front office for every location. They handle such duties as client interaction, scheduling, as well as providing technology support and training.

We manufacture our own custom products at our plant in Alabama, so franchise owners don’t need a warehouse or retail space.
